This research aims to investigate how Adult social workers (in generic adults teams and/or learning disabilities teams) identify parents with learning disabilities and how and when they work with these parents and provide them with support. It will investigate the different ways professionals respond to these parents in 5 different Local Authorities in England. It will also investigate how parents with learning disabilities perceive their engagement with Adult and LD social workers.
